Medford High School's Annual Credit for Life Financial Literacy Fair

Medford High and Technical School students participated in the 2022 Annual Credit for Life Financial Literacy Fair. Middlesex Federal employees provided students with information that would help them make an informed financial decisions that would fit their budget scenario.

Kiwanis School Supply Drive

A proud supporter of the Kiwanis School Supply Drive. Customers, employees, and neighbors donate school supplies to fill backpacks for local junior and high school students.

Employees Volunteer at Local Food Bank Program

On the second Tuesday of each month, Middlesex Federal employees volunteer for the Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services (SCES) Brown Bag Program. SCES depends on volunteers to fill grocery bags with food provided by the Greater Boston Food Bank. The filled grocery bags are distributed to local low-income seniors. The SCES depends on volunteers to make this program possible. Join us as a volunteer; complete a volunteer application online at eldercare.org.

High School Scholarships

Annually, Middlesex Federal awards multiple scholarships to Somerville and Medford High School students. Recipients of these scholarships have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership skills, community spirit, and have been accepted and plan to attend an accredited institution of higher education. At least one of the scholarships at each high school is designated for a student enrolled in the technical education program. Qualified and interested students should contact their guidance department for an application.

Supporting Somerville Homeless Coalition

The Somerville Homeless Coalition provides homeless and near homeless individuals and families with individualized supportive services and tailored housing solutions with a goal of obtaining and maintaining affordable housing. Sponsoring their road race water stations, supporting fundraising efforts, delivering turkeys to Project Soup, and providing school backpacks to children in shelters are among the many ways that Middlesex Federal and our employees support the Somerville Homeless Coalition each year.

Supporting Local Organizations

Middlesex Federal awarded $1,000 to RESPOND, a local provider of support services to victims and survivors of domestic violence. A pioneer in the movement to end domestic violence, RESPOND is New England's first domestic violence agency and the second oldest in the nation.
